Penny Harvest 2009 - PS 279

 

On June 9, 2009, Ellen and Tony Leondis accepted a check for $350 from students at Herman Schreiber school in Brooklyn.  Students at PS 279 participated in the Common Cents Penny Harvest program.  During the school year students collected pennies and spent time researching which charity would benefit. Some students gave up their recess time to become involved in the decision making.
